WHAT WE BELIEVE

 

In the Triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Jesus is the true God and true Man.

The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.

All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and are in need of salvation.

Salvation has been provided through Jesus for all men.

It is the will of God that every Believer be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every Believer.

The church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust.

In the personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ.

In the three foundational ordinances of the Church:

1. Water Baptism     2. Lord’s Supper    
3. Biblical Marriage between one man and one woman

 

Prosperity is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every Believer.

 

2.04.01 Gender

We believe God immutably creates each person as male or female. These two, distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God, and the one who denies one’s biological sex denies the created image of God.  

 

2.04.02 Marriage

We believe God designed marriage as a unique covenantal relationship joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, life-long union. God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and woman joined in marriage.  God created marriage to be a public covenant relationship between two consenting people, one man and one woman. This covenant is to endure as long as both are living; for the purposes of mutual joy, mutual edification, procreation, and symbolizing the covenant relationship between Christ and His church to all generations. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:18-25; Ephesians 5:25)

 

2.04.03 Human Life

We believe God endows all human life with inherent dignity at every stage of development. The unjustified, intentional taking or devaluing of human life before or after birth is sinful and offensive to God. All life has value and importance to God and compels the believer to have compassion for all. This inherent dignity is the basis for teaching, loving, and serving our students.  In the spirit of Christ, Christians should oppose sinful behavior such as racism, every form of greed, selfishness, and vice, and all forms of sexual immorality, including but not limited to adultery, homosexuality, and pornography. We should work to provide for the orphaned, the needy, the abused, the aged, the helpless, and the sick. We should speak on behalf of the unborn and contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death.
